Wanna Work the Night Shift? Try These Remote Jobs. Part 1.
10 remote jobs you can work at night
I researched 10 work-from-home jobs you can do in the evening and I can pretty much guarantee that the majority of them you have never heard of before. Also many of these will be easy to get into and very high paying and most of them do not require a college degree. So, if you appreciate me writing these types of articles go ahead and let me know by signing up here to catch every story when I publish.
Aira Agent
You’ve probably never heard of this before, but this is basically where you are the eyes of someone who can’t see. You’re essentially going to be helping someone out who is blind. You might be thinking to yourself, “Kristen, this is an article about work-from-home jobs, so how in the heck can I do this if I’m helping someone out who’s blind; wouldn’t I have to go to their house?”
Yeah, there are a lot of Aira Agent positions where you do go to someone’s house, but there’s also a lot of them where you work remotely. For instance, there’s a position where they use Google Glass Technology. Whenever a visually impaired person needs some help seeing something, they’ll call a line and the Google Glass Technology will live stream whatever they are looking at and then the Aira Agent will describe to them in vivid detail what’s on their screen or maybe what’s on a restaurant menu.
There’s also less sophisticated versions of this, where blind people can just use their phone, for instance, and just point it wherever they’re looking and then there’s some circumstances where the Aira Agent is with a single person the entire day. There’s other circumstances where they’re only used here or there. Over 285 million people in the world are visually impaired, so the demand for visual interpretation services is growing.
They have great benefits and there’s a ton of demand. This is yet another example of that and Aira Agents make $86,000 a year so it’s extremely well-compensated work and you can get started with this by going to aira. io/careers then you scroll down and click Aira Agent and then you click apply to become an agent.
Pros:
it’s a very rewarding experience as you are giving a ton of value to someone else
there also tends to be pretty flexible hours because you’re on call waiting for someone to need you
it’s very competitive pay especially for an entry level job
Cons:
can be emotionally taxing
you do have a high level of responsibility
it requires a lot of patience
